Working with adults
Counselling is a space to pause, reflect, and make sense of what’s happening in your world. I offer a calm and supportive environment where you can talk openly and explore what feels important for you right now.
I work in a way that’s flexible and responsive to your needs. I draw from a range of approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Expressive and Creative Therapy, Exposure Therapy, Play Therapy, and Mindfulness-based practices, to name a few. Together we can explore what might be most helpful, with the freedom to change direction if something doesn’t feel right. Counselling is a shared process, and I value working alongside you rather than leading from the front.
Sessions are $120 for 50 minutes. I offer a free 15 minute phone chat before your first session so we can talk about what’s bringing you to counselling and what you’re looking for. It’s a chance to see if I’m the right fit for you and to ask any questions you may have.
Working with children
When I work with children, I focus on helping them feel safe, seen, and heard. I use play, creativity, and gentle conversation to help them explore what’s going on in a way that feels right for them.
Each child is different, so I take time to get to know their world and go at their pace. My sessions are child-led, relaxed, and guided by what helps them feel comfortable and supported.
Counselling can help with things like worries, friendships, big feelings, or changes at home or school.
I also stay in touch with parents and caregivers, as I believe working together makes the biggest difference. You know your child best, and I value being part of that team around them.
Because children’s focus and needs vary, sessions can sometimes be shorter than a standard adult session. Some children only need about 30 minutes of focused time, while other sessions may include time with a parent or caregiver to talk about what’s been happening.
Shorter child sessions (around 30 minutes) are priced at $60. We can talk more about what might suit your child best during our first chat, either face to face or over the phone.
